Danielle Cisney

Owner & Counselor

We do not always like what our minds do, but learning more about how our minds work can give us the information we need to build skills for responding in new and more effective ways. I love to share my sense of wonder at what our minds are capable of (even when they are being infuriating and confusing). Knowing more about how to understand your mind will help you to develop the tools you need to make the change you want.

How I Can Help

Using humor, curiosity, and creativity I’d love to teach you about what is going on in your head and help you develop skills for improving your life. Knowledge can be an incredible tool for making a difference.

Together we’ll build a personalized plan for helping you get where you want to be. No matter what techniques we end up using, my goal is to work myself out of a job. I want to teach you what you need to know so that you can learn how to meet your life’s goals.

My Background

I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a Master’s in Counseling with a Concentration in Mental Health. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina (License #12988). I have an eclectic style that draws from various evidenced-based practices to match what you may need to meet your goals. One approach I draw from frequently is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
