Danielle Cisney

Counselor & Owner

I see our sessions as a series of conversations where we're working together to make your life better. You tell me what your interested in improving and I'll share tips and tools that I think will help you get there. Depending on your needs, I borrow from different therapy styles such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I like to find and share new tools for you to put in your toolbox so you can learn how to handle whatever life tries to throw your way.

When it makes sense, I like to use creativity, humor, and playfulness in sessions.

My Background

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory with a Master’s degree in Counseling with a Concentration in Mental Health.

I've worked in community mental health, with a college campus's career center, at a group practice, and now I own my own private practice. I've had the chance to work with many different kinds of people with a wide range of ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and cultures. If you'd like to know more about my specific experiences to see if I might be the best fit for you, please ask me! The free 15 minute intro call is a great opportunity to sus out if I've had experience working with your specific scenario before.

Not Sure?

Not sure if counseling is right for you or if we'd be a good fit together? I'd love a chance to talk with you face to face in a free fifteen minute video call. There's nothing that beats meeting in real time where you can ask me questions and figure out if you'd like to work with me. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have about working with me, my style, or what to expect from services.
